Theodore L. Sterling

At an early age he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Austin, Texas.

He was united in marriage to Esther Mae Medearis Sterling in May 1958. To this union two children were born.

He served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at the Hurley Mattress Company, Radian Corporation and was a Co-Owner of Sterling Cleaning with his wife for over 35 years.

He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather who instilled the importance of honesty, a good work ethic and character as his legacy for his family.

He is survived by his son, Theodore Sterling Jr.; daughter, Tammie Sterling McKinley (Issac); grandchildren, Trevor McKinley (Amber), Tiara Sterling, Jonathan Sterling, Kayla McKinley; six great grandchildren, Kazara Young, Dakota Young, Khloe Sterling, Jonathan Sterling, Aniyah McKinley, Trevor McKinley Jr., Jonathan Murray, and a host of cousins, and friends.

A visitation for Theodore will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025 in The Walden Room of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, with the interment to immediately follow in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
