

Velma and her husband, Winford Kelley, had made their home for the last fifteen years in Spicewood, and prior to that she lived in Cedar Park. Velma had very strong Christian beliefs and she lived those beliefs everyday of her life. She was a Baptist by faith and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Marble Falls.
Velma was preceded in death by her loving parents, Roy and Ruth Hudson and her brother Delbert Hudson. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Winford Kelley; sons, Ron Hagood and wife Carolyn of Marble Falls and Terry Hagood and wife Jan of Marble Falls; brother Truman Hudson and wife Karen of Austin; step-sons Jim Kelley and wife Kay of Georgetown and Bill Kelley of Austin; two grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Honoring Velma as pallbearers will be John Braun, Jim Black, Tommy Hudson, Shane Farmer, Joshua Kelley and Todd Hagood.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services celebrating Velma’s life will be a 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2010 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in Velma’s name be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church of Marble Falls, Texas Baptist Children’s Home of Round Rock, or the Ronald McDonald House of Austin.
