Virgil Michael Hines passed on August 16, 2014 in Elgin, TX. He is preceded by his parents, Marine Nolan-Hines and Virgil Hines, and by his brother, Robert Hines, Sr. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Amanda Hines, and by his nephew, Robert Hines, Jr., and Robert's wife and son, Brittany and Ethan, all of Elgin. Born in Shreveport, LA, Mike followed his younger brother, Robert Sr., to Elgin twelve years ago and worked as a dump truck driver for Cash Construction. Family will remember him as an occasional hunter and fisherman who loved to work and always had $1 bills on hand for Diet Coke and cheese crackers. He will be missed.
A visitation is from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm, Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the Memorial Chapel at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville, Texas. Mr. Hines will be buried at the McDade Cemetery in McDade, Texas following the funeral service.
