Our beloved son, grandson, brother and dear friend is in pain no more with a healed back, strumming on his guitar for the Lord only to take breaks playing the piano and singing for Him. Zachary’s faith was his passion and all felt this in his short time with us. He was a bit of a self-taught savant with guitar but was a pretty good pianist, had a black belt in taekwondo that he never used, praise the Lord, had a shoe fetish to rival a New York runway model, and on a good day could give Michael Jordan a serious run for his money on the hoops. His latest accomplishment and what he was most proud of was his commitment to quality and training at his first and last job, Round Rock Donuts. It felt like he found his calling there in that he loved his customers, the work, the management and staff; they had a special place in his heart and he was excited daily to share his experiences. He had a lifetime at Shoreline Church and remarked frequently of the importance of faith in his life.
Zachary is survived by his loving parents, Isidro and Tina Torres; grandparents, Hermina Torres and Lydia Powell Gleichman Simon; uncle, Karl Gleichman; sister, Jennifer Jewel Torres and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Zachary is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Isidro Torres, Sr. and Frederick Burton Gleichman; sister, Nicole Alexis Torres and uncle, Kris Ray Powell Gleichman.
