

She was born Alice Venita to Charles Edward and Martha Miranda Victoria Clark Stevens on November 27,1923 in Beech Grove, Greene County, Arkansas.
A lifelong member of the Church of Christ, she was baptized at an early age and faithfully followed the teachings of Christ throughout her life.
She married the love of her life Earl Rollin Amick on May 15, 1943. He was from Peach Orchard, Clay County Arkansas. They walked together for 46 years. To this union was born two sons Rollin Lavelle (1944-2019) and Marion Dale (1945-2009).
Veneta had various occupations throughout her life. She last worked as a companion and caregiver. She retired well past her 80th birthday.
Veneta was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister and friend. Family was very important to her. She had a way of making everyone feel loved. She was a very generous person, treating her sisters and nieces to many family vacations and special travels.
She loved making delicious birthday cookies and cakes. She will always be remembered for her homemade ice cream treats.
Veneta was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, brothers Robert (Bob) Stevens, Paul Edward Stevens, Charles Woodrow Stevens; sisters Ivy Imogene Rainwater, Wanda Fox, Lenore Hill, Arzella Svaglig, Lillie Jordan, Frances Pitcher and infant sister Goldie Irene Stevens.
She is survived by a sister Vivian Davis, grandchildren Patricia Spence, Julie (Chris) Cipriano, Linzie (Nate) Arnold, Tyler (Shea Snively) Amick, David Scott Ladoucher, Joseph Dale Amick, Jessica Jo Amick and step-grandchildren Dwayne Amick and Brian McMahon. Her great grandchildren Dylan James McNulty, Liberty Miranda Amick, Alesha Amick Hudleston, Morgan Riley Amick, Andrew Pierre Amick, Stephanie Cammiso, T. Dale Amick and David Scott Ladoucher, Jr. also survive her, along with great grandsons Aryan Amick and Grayson Arnold.
A visitation for Veneta will be held on Thursday, September 7 at 11 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary. Her funeral service will be at noon with a committal service at graveside to follow.
