Anna Jeane was born in Prescott, Arizona on February 7, 1933. At age 11, she moved with her family to Phoenix. She graduated from West High School in Phoenix. During her high school years, she met James Robert Fleming, who became the love of her life. After Robert returned home from serving in the Navy, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on November 28, 1952. Together they raised 8 children in their West Phoenix home. Anna Jeane was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including Stake Primary President and Ward Relief Society President. She was a life-long visiting teacher and minister and all remember her for her loving service. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served as a Captain for 4 years. She enjoyed the friends she made as a member of the Sunshine Club. After the passing of her husband in 1992, Anna Jeane was called to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Salt Lake Family History Department. She spent many years in the wedding business with her Sisters-in-law and used her talents for flower decorating to make many beautiful weddings. Her hobbies included quilting, playing games with her children and grandchildren, cooking, camping and hosting parties for family and friends.
Anna Jeane and Robert raised their children in the gospel and all of their children have received the blessings of the temple. Her favorite scripture comes from 3 John 1:4, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." She continued to be involved in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of them will fondly remember Grandma's love for them. She will be greatly missed.
Anna Jeane is survived by her children Berne (Cindy), Gary (Gayle), Rick (Sylvia), Julie, Robert (Lena), Kelly (Geanna), and Steven. She is also survived by 34 Grandchildren and 35 Great-Grandchildren and her siblings Marvin, Myrna, and Linda.
