Rich will remember you always...A beautiful soul

I met Barb 'Bree' in 2007 when my friend Henry Dudek, a former teacher in her high school, passed away.  Bree wrote some of the most touching words about our friend, and we corresponded for some time, especially about her poodles.  I helped her translate a number of letters to Spanish to send to some relations of hers, and she would send a Christmas ornament for my tree each year.  I will miss her kind notes, and wish that I had been able to send this earlier but am only discovering this evening that she has passed.  May the fond memories that people have of Bree light a pathway in their hearts towards peace and understanding.  Thank you for the years of friendship, and happy belated birthday, Barb.

I did not ever meet Barb, but we did have a few FB conversations and of course we played Farmville together.  I know she was a beautiful person and Rick you were so lucky...


Barb was my 'big sister' in high school. We weren't there together very long, but the Cat Steven's song "Peace Train" always brings up this one memory. 
She picked me up from the (boarding) school where I lived and took me for a coke at a local restaurant. This song came on; first time I heard it, I think. I can't remember what we talked about, but I never forgot her kindness in doing that. Escaping boarding school for a bit meant the world!
We wrote for years, as someone said, then lost touch. 
She was memorable to me, never forgotten though miles apart.

Yesterday, August 26th, would have been your birthday. We all miss and love you. Rick. xo


Barb was a friend of mine after we were at Camp Otter.  She lived not far from Erie PA where I want to college and saw her many times.  Like Lynn said she was a terrific writer.  I lost touch a few years after she moved to AZ.  May God Rest Her Soul.

I just learned of Barb's passing today from a mutual friend. We both knew her from summers spent at a canoe tripping camp in northern Ontario.  I remember her as one of the most prolific letter writers I ever knew when we were still in touch. She was exceptionally articulate.   I lost touch with her over these last many years, but remember  her fondly . I lit a candle on my mantle  for her tonite that smells of pine like that camp in Canada ..and of peace.
