Bob Sie Wood

Bob S Wood (08/11/1928 - 03/04/2013) was born In Runnels County, Texas to Robert Henry Wood and Alma Wiley-Wood. He was the third of four sons. His brothers Alvis Wood, SD Wood, and Wayne Wood, along with his parents, have all preceded him in death. Bob entered the Air Force in February, 1946 and served for two years. He met his love, Betty Jo Burk and they were married on March 8, 1948. They had three children, James Randall Wood (1949), Virginia Anne Wood (1951), and Melinda Kay Wood (1953). In 1955 they moved to San Manuel, Arizona where he worked for Magma Copper Co in the mill from 10/1/55 to 5/31/86. He loved to fish and to spend time in the White Mountains. He also loved to ride horses and owned his own horses when he moved to Catalina, Az. The last few years of his life he lived in Phoenix, Az. He is survived by his daughters Anne Humble/Byron (Phoenix) and Kay Smith/Bill (San Manuel, AZ), daughter-in-law Jo Ann Wood, his grandchildren : Melissa Mack (Phoenix), Aimee Smith-Garcia/Bill (San Manuel) Angela Maloy/Kris (Phoenix) , Becky Smith-Faulstich/Stephen (San Manuel) , Michael Wood/Kirstin (Oregon) and Rob Wood/Wendy (Oregon), his great grandkids: Kris Maloy, Bailey Smith- Garcia, Joshua Eubank, Kory Maloy, Stephen Smith-Faulstich, Randy Wood, Pacey Smith-Garcia And Seth Smith-Faulstich, Galitaya Wood, along with all his cousins, nieces, nephews and sisters in law. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, son Randy, granddaughter Shawna Humble, and great granddaughter Jorie Smith-Garcia. He loved all his family and will be greatly missed. A graveside service to be held on Monday March 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Mammoth, AZ at Mammoth Valley View Cemetery. Service officiated by Reverend Kevin Duncan. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Maryvale Mortuary, Phoenix, AZ.
