

Carmen P. Baca, age 89, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on January 24, 2024, she was a beloved Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, Auntie, Nina and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her..
Carmen was born on December 24, 1934 to the late Salomon and Josefita Padilla Sr., in Quemado, New Mexico, she had three brothers (the late) Steve, (the late) Armando, Salomon, Jr., (Lily) and two sisters, (the late) Sylvania, and (the late) Mary-Dell. She spent her formative years in Quemado, NM before she moved to McNary Arizona and married her late husband Frank G. Baca, Sr.
They then moved to Phoenix, Arizona and had four sons, (the late) Ramon, Jimmy (Christine), Steve (Julie), and Frank Jr. Carmen had six grandchildren, (the late) Jimmy Ray Baca, Jason Baca, Demetre Baca, Michelle Rodriguez (Steven), Jeremy Baca (Vanessa), Gabriel Baca, six great grandchildren, Arianna Nunez, LileeRose Baca, Rey Baca, Marcos Baca, Willow Baca and Palo Baca.
Carmen spent many year enjoying taking care of her many nieces and nephews, who came from all over to spend time with her. She taught the gals needlepoint, sewing and just loved being with them. She made the best green and red chile, beans, potatoes and tortillas. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends doing crafts and playing bingo.
Carmen worked selling Sarah Coventry, and worked at La Canasta Restaurant for many years and made several friends there.
Later, she enjoyed watching Food Shows and Westerns.
Carmen P. Baca will be remembered as an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold. Her love and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by her family, and by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A rosary service for Carmen will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 to commence at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5614 W Orangewood Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301, the mass to follow at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the burial service will follow the mass at the Holy Cross Cemetery located at 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392 in the mausoleum. There will be a reception following the services, at Mater Misercordiae Hall, located on 1537 W. Monroe St., Phoenix, AZ 85007.
