

Charles Edward Lott, known to many as "Charlie", passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 85 in Sun City, AZ. He was born on September 10, 1938, in Evansville, IN. Charlie had a loving, giving spirit and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Charlie retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer from the Navy after 22 years of honorable service. He also worked for the United States Postal Service for 20 years, where he received numerous commendations for his contributions.
In his free time, Charlie enjoyed cooking and grilling, solving expert-level crossword puzzles, walking competitively, and frequenting the beach in his over twenty years of living in Hawaii. He was an avid cook and grill master and a dedicated solver of the NY Times crossword puzzles. He attained the top position for miles walked on Nike.com from 2018-2020.
Charlie is survived by his son Jesse (Wendy) Lott, grandsons Jalen,Noah and Micah, siblings Carol, Ronni, Roseanne (Ronnie), Bonnie (Dennis) and Daniel, as well as 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tita, and siblings Wanda and Thomas. He truly loved his many grandnieces/nephews.
A viewing will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009 on Monday, March 4, 2024 from 12-1 PM, followed by his funeral and 1 PM and committal at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Public Broadcasting Service, Arizona Highway Patrol Association, American Cancer Society, St. Claire of Assisi, or The Salvation Army.
