Chris, what can I say that hasn’t been said already by the many people who love you? By the many people whose lives you have touched in one way or another? You were truly one of a kind. I enjoyed our many trips and adventures with the four of us. You made us the group that we were. You were so incredibly hilarious. Always had some remark to say. You lit up the room and made everyone smile. I always felt like that was your goal. To make everyone smile. You certainly accomplished that everywhere you went.  I thoroughly enjoyed your constant singing of mariachi music even though you sometimes couldn’t hold a tune. I laughed every time you laughed because it was so infectious! But mostly Chris, you really SAW people. You saw them and made everyone that you spoke to feel important and well, SEEN. You never judged anyone. You just met them where they were. You met me where I was and you never judged. You were always a safe place to be myself. You made peace where there was strife amongst friends and you always knew what to say when I was down. You were so careful with everyone’s feelings. Even just now I am realizing how to do that. But you knew that all along. You were truly one of a kind. I will miss you even if we grew apart. I will pray for your beautiful family but I will know you are taking care of them. I will always remember “Big Sexy” and “Batman” and reflect on the memories that we shared. I know you will be making everyone in heaven feel as special as you made all of us feel down here on earth. Rest In Peace my good friend. Until we meet again. 

Chris, never in a million years did I ever think id be writing this, especially to a long time friend. When i heard the news I couldnt believe it i really couldnt, still can't. You were my JROTC friend in high school and I'm so glad that you were because if it wasn't for you our high school days  would've been boring. We had a group called FMNMKMC(squared) that consisted of our friends Frank, Marco, Nelson, Maria, myself, Maricruz, Chris Estrada and you. Everytime we all hanged out together after school during JROTC practice it was like the day was gonna go on forever because we always had so much fun. You with your weird jokes, goofing off with the boys, oh and dancing and singing like you were drake or something haha but you did that without hesitation and without a care in the world because thats who you were. Always so confident and outgoing, playful, smart, at one point I had to ask you to tutor me cuz man you were smart haha. One fond memory I have of you is the day that you found out when my birthday was and you would always ask me...even after you knew. "Karen when is your bday?" And I would reply "Its on February 6 Chris" and then youd say "Ey the 6th"  and would high five me". Another one good memory out of many was when you had your honda and you would always say "huh I have a Honda haha I would tell you "dude for reals? we get it we get it" haha and youd reply with "but huh i have a honda". I can go on forever talking about the good memories of high school and a bit after that. But I'll just go ahead and stop here and tell you this. Chris I love you man and know that I will always keep your wife and beautiful children and your family in my prayers. Please watch over them and always protect them. Play basketball with Kobe, do puzzles with Einstein but most of all sing with Selena. God truly has gained one "Big Sexy" angel to sit right beside him in heaven. Cuzzzz the moments we shared will forever be in our hearts! My heart goes out to my tios,  cousins ,jessica and your babies .  Even though we wouldnt see eachother often when all the cousins got together we always had a good time laughing &  dancing an and those are the memories I will always cherish. From the parties in LA to the times we would hang out at Jaimes house! You will be terribly missed,  that smile and your good vibes and jokes. may you rest in peace and watch over your family. You are terribly missed cuzzz.

My heart-felt condolences to the Cardenas Family. Christian was such a funny kid and through his pictures I see he never lost his sense of humor. Andrew was my closest friend when we were kids. My mom still has pictures of us when we were little. I am so sorry this happened. 

My condolences for your wife, kids and family. Though our lives drifted, I have never forgotten you my childhood friend. You were my best friend when we were kids. I remember us running through the campus in our elementary school in recess and lunch. We were inseparable and I was always excited to be by your side. You had a major role in my childhood life, and I thank you for being a part of it. You will forever be in my thoughts and in my heart.

My condolences to Christian wife, and his family.  I just found out about this dreadful news. Christian was my Battalion Commander in JROTC one of only 3 males to hold this position. Christian was very dedicated to his position and was well thought of throughout the school and JROTC. I still talk about Christian, about how I and Trini took him to Blacksburg, Virginia on a JROTC trip. It was his first time flying and the question he asked me when we were landing will stay with me forever “Hey, First Sergeant, what’s all that green stuff down there” I told him it was trees and grass, something he had never seen before. He is now in God’s hands and will forever be in those Tall Trees and thick grasses. Farewell BC, you’re the one.

I remember all the times we hung out, laughed and were silly. I would get so excited to hang out, because I considered you as a brother, not just my cousin.
I remember you visiting to work. We worked together at my Dad's company, and I remember how serious you took the job. "Gotta save that money for my girl, Sele, I want to bring her here and give her the best life I can."
You were so determined, even as the heat and physical work took a toll.
I remember the hugs, us dancing, watching random movies, and playing games on the gamecube and wii.
I dreamt of you the other night. You were smiling, laughing, cracking jokes like you always did.
You took my hand and said, "It's ok Sele!"
I woke up in tears, missing you dearly. You were my brother Chris, I always saw you as such, and I'm so heartbroken. I love you.

Memories is all that you have, which help you survive the storms and struggles of your daily life after you lose someone. A family wounded by a loss  is like sitting behind a tall person at a movie theater. The people around you are laughing, crying, reacting to something, but you have no idea what. Chris will be missed, but never forget.

Words can’t express the heart break I’m feeling, I wish I had the words but I don’t really. Never in a million years did I ever think I would have to write this for you. Thank you so much for the many memories, although we both did grow up to have our own families and lives I always had nothing but love and respect for you. We never called each other on first name bases, it was always Bro and sis cuz that’s what we are, family.!  I miss you. We miss you. I will always remember how you asked me for a favor to go to prom cuz you didn’t have anyone to go with and I told you hell no (lmao) cuz it would of been like taking your cousin lol Didn’t want to give you that embarrassment =). All jokes aside, wish you were still here, wish I had super powers to bring you back. I’m sorry. However, you gained your wings Superman. You graduated to heaven, It’s your turn to shine bright like the stars. I’m at ease knowing that your are so loved by so many and very much. Even from people at Jonathan’s  job knew who you were. crazy lol It’s amazing, Small world right?! Lol I love you bro, we will always miss you so much, you will forever be in our hearts. I cannot imagine the grief and pain your family is feeling. Know that you are all loved and we continue to pray for healing and comfort for you all. 

Chris, came in to our group through a friend and the first thing he said, "Hey, what's up. Nice to meet you, I'm big sexy" I looked at our mutual friend with a blank stare... An awkward minute passed and we all just laughed. We worked in the same complex and we would all hangout and just trade shots with each other. Just thinking about it as I'm writing this, I'm smiling and laughing. Chris was a beautiful soul. I keep thinking how unfair life is. (keep in mind  I only knew Chris for a short time) all this and it really hurts the heart.(personally that's me being selfish) The only thing that makes it hurt less is too think that heaven needed him for his beautiful spirit and to make angels laugh. We will always be here

Man o man!! So many memories. The best memory of Chris is on JT 15 bday party I remember telling Me "Prima!!!! only you guys can pull this off doing a quince to a guy". With his big smile I remember him dancing doing the robot taking shots just being Chris. Cousin even though we didn't see each other often we always made it the best when we did. My lil brother !!! It breaks my heart as to know this is all happening!!!  You and Andrew have always been my pride and joy!! And I am so proud of all you have accomplished!! As your older sister that’s all you want is to see ur sibling succeed and let me say that you have!!!! You are an amazing son, an amazing brother , and amazing uncle !! And most of all an amazing father!!! I love you so so so much and I miss you so so much !! What can I say? Chris and I grew up together through our childhood and developed a reaction ship passed cousins. I’ll always cherish the memories we were able to create , from our family parties , to the times we got together to watch fights, our stories of “DUENDES” ( Jess knows what’s up) . My first sleep over my mom let me participate was with Chris , and man did we have a great time. Although you moved to Arizona , whenever we would have a chance to speak or hang out, we never missed a beat we would pick up right where we left off. I’ll miss you cuzzo, dearly, but I know you have left a piece of you engraved in everyone’s heart and memories , and that will always keep you alive. You now watch over my tio, tia, Fabi , drew and his family and also yours. Everyone will remember you for who you were, happy, charismatic, funny and of course “ big sexy “ .

Cousin... not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Remembering the smiles, laughs, and dance parties we would have, it was never a dull moment with you. You weren’t only my cousin but also my best friend, the best uncle to Ellyana. I will forever tell her stories of her Tio. I love you and miss you more then anything cousin until we meet again.💙🙏🏻

My condolences to your family. I didn't know you much BUT I did cross a few words with you. I know you were a good person and what I liked about you is the fact that you made my cousin very happy. We spent hours talking about the world and our future daily. For the past 3 years we spoke everyday, laughed everyday,  felt loved everyday, grew together everyday. We had each other’s back in the ugly and in beauty, I’ll never go a day without you in my thoughts. I love you compa. Hope you find the peace you deserve. 

Chris…  there’s no amount of words that can describe how much you meant to my family and I. The huge impact you made in my life to not only better myself but others around me. God knows how much I loved you as the older brother I never had, and needed in my life.  Fly high brother, Keep looking out for us from heaven, I’ll always miss and love you bro💙🙏🏾
