Clara is survived by her three children, Pat Remler-Brier of New York
City, Mary Jordan of London, England and John Mahoney of Albuquerque,
New Mexico. As well, Clara is survived by 8 grandchildren, 21 great
grand children and many nieces and nephews.
Clara was born in Madison, Minnesota on September 11, 1912 to Sophia
Boland and Oscar Larson. She married S. F. “Mac” Mahoney in 1938 and
eventually moved to Arizona. After WWII, they raised their children in
Rapid City, South Dakota. Clara was a buyer for Hagerty’s Department
store for many years. She and Mac retired in Phoenix, Arizona to be
near their children and grandchildren.
Clara was a kind, loving woman with a generous spirit who loved to
travel. We will all miss her but she will be forever in our hearts.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20th at 1PM with Funeral Services following at 2 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix. Arrangements entrusted to Greenwood Memory Lawn, www.greenwoodmemorylawn.com.
