Our son Constantine passed away on May 17, 2016, and, as he wished, he was cremated. A memorial gathering of colleagues and staff was held on June 3, 2016 at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, where Constantine was an Internist/Hospitalist. A memorial gathering for friends, family, and colleagues will be held at 2pm on June 11, 2016 at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W Bethany Home Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85013, (602) 249-2111 ( www.almoore-grimshaw.com). No flowers please.
Constantine was born on April 1, 1963, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He attended primary school in York, England, and graduated from Princeton High School, Princeton, NJ, in 1980. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Ohio, B.S. (Cum Laude), he attended medical school and completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1991 at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, NJ.
Not enthusiastic about staying on the East Coast, Constantine became a Locum Tenens Physician. In 1993 he accepted a full time position with CIGNA Health in Arizona. Constantine became Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 1993, and with the changing environment of our health system, devoted the rest of his career to hospital based care, which led him in 2011 to join Banner Health’s Hospitalist program. Constantine was part of an extended family of physicians, starting in 1921 with his grandfather. He is survived by his parents, Margaret, Dip. Ed., who was born in Hull, England, and Costandi, D. Phil., who was born in Nazareth, Palestine, brother Nicholas Audeh, M.D. of Poquoson, VA, sister-in-law, Dorothy Winters Audeh, RPh., and nieces, Christina Margaret and Alexis Ann. An animal lover, Constantine was devoted to dachshunds, raising some from puppies, but adopting most from dachshund rescue organizations. His latest dachshunds, Buddy, 14 and Malo, 9, are now in the loving care of his friends, Monika and Derek Sott.
