In 1989, Katherine and I walked around Pine Flats for the first time. We talked with Ave Marie & Jack Doyle; Gertrude & Norris Gilbert; and Coral & Clyde Emerick.  Everybody was so nice to us and very helpful, and little did we know it was the start of long friendships.  

Coral was very special to both of us, and each of us have enjoyed spending many, many hours just chatting with her about life in general.

Coral was a mom's mom; an irreplaceable classic; and a beautiful person. 

We are going to miss you, Coral, and we will never forget you.

If you asked Coral what were her most favorite things in life, she would readily respond: "Family - Friends - Flowers - Chocolate.  She was also a formidable opponent when we played Scrabble, a game she taught me when I was just a little girl. We played it many times over the years; she taught me well.  She also enjoyed the game of Bridge and made many friends from when she started playing 45 years ago and new ones during her stay at an assisted living facility.  Mother made friends of all ages over the years and often said that was one of the things that "kept her young".  I have always been and will continue to be proud to call her my mom - She was quite a "Lady" I will always love my dear mama.

Coral's mere presence made any room brighter on every occasion. A most gracious lady who I am honored to have had the opportunity to know and love dearly. I wish her entire family peace in knowing that she lead a good and long life and enjoyed her time making this world a nicer place to be for all. She will always be within each of us for the ways she touched our lives and how that made us smile.

We will always remember beautiful, gracious and elegant Coral. A true lady. Our thoughts and prayers are with her entire family.

The only thing more beautiful than Coral's Pine Flats garden, was Coral's smile. When we were planting our new garden in Pine Flats, she gave us some of her violets. So even though she will be deeply missed, she will always be a part of our garden.

I am the son of LeRoy Malchow and Laverne Anderson Malchow who stood up for Coral and Clyde at their wedding.  Coral and Clyde also stood up for my parents at their wedding.  Both couples met thru the California Tip Toppers Club.  Coral was a dear lady who will be missed by her family and many friends.  We love you Coral.

Our deepest sympathy to Barb and the entire family.  Our prayers are with you.

At all the Schuyler family functions I have been lucky enough to enjoy over the past 26 years, I always remember Grandma’s smiling face and presence at each and every one.  Along with her other family members, she too would always hug me and make me feel so welcomed and loved.  I never remember a time that she wasn’t smiling and filled with kindness.  She was a treat to know and will be missed!

I always viewed Coral as my United States grandmum, she and Clyde made us feel so welcome when we arrived in Phoenix 1993.It was an honour to have known her and to meet the immediate family.I can see her star from Downunder she was a treasure.

I had the great pleasure of getting to know Coral over the last few months, she was an incredible woman.  She will greatly be missed

Coral Was our neighbor in Pine Flats.  She shared her wisdom with us and many years of smiles, laughter, 'her' Texas Sheet Cake, quotes she memorized from first grade and her warm, kind and loving personality in every hug she gave us.  Coral will be remembered. Each day we greet the sun, we will smile and think of her.
