Corrine spent her formative years in the Missouri Ozarks. Her parents died while Corrine was still a teenager, leaving her and younger brother, Billy, to be taken in by relatives.
Corrine moved to California, where she met and married Ray Blackwell. At the age of 29, with three children, and an empty void in her heart, Corrine began a desperate search for something to fill the void.
In 1960, faithful family members introduced her to the Gospel Story which became her solid foundation, and her first-love for the rest of her life. Corrine made her choice to walk with God at Santee Convention in 1961.
Corrine was a homemaker and loved to cook and have company often. Ray and Corrine had Sunday Morning Meeting in their home for many years, and their home was open to all who enjoyed their hospitality.
Corrine is survived by her husband, Ray, four children, Laura (Curtis) Crouch, Mona (Rick) Rutherford, Brian Blackwell, Eddie (Lisa) Blackwell. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of life-long friends and loved ones.
