

He was born in Union City, Indiana on December 30, 1933 and was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended West High School. Dale enlisted in the US Army at the age of 16 years old to defend the great people of South Korea. Upon officials learning of him being underage, he was discharged only to re-enlist at the age of 18 years old. He was sent back to the conflict in Korea in the 7th Infantry Division where he was wounded on Pork Chop Hill in 1950. His valor and service to the communities of Arizona continued when he joined the Arizona Highway Patrol, 1961-1979 Sergeant. Arizona Capitol Police, 1983-1986 Lieutenant 1 and Director of Security at the Wigwam Resort 1988-1999. The greatest service of his life was faithfully serving God for many years and attending Avondale Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, John A. Cain and Agatha Lucile Cain (Hall), his wife Helen Jean Cain, his son Dale W. Cain Jr., his sister Rita Bell Wass, and his brother John Edgar Cain. Dale and Helen married in 1953 and were married for 61 years until Helen passed in 2015.
Dale is survived by his daughter Betty Albert (Jerry Jr.), three grandchildren Jerry Albert III (Carrie), Jessica Yee (Weegan), and Melissa Triglia (Sean). He has three great-grandchildren: Morgan, Zachary, and Isaac Albert. He also leaves behind a beloved sister Barbara Watkins (Cain) and many nephews and nieces.
A visitation will be at 9:00am Friday, August 9, 2024 with a Memorial Service beginning at 10:00am at the Avondale Church of God which is located at 2605 N. Avondale Blvd. Avondale, Arizona 85323. The Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery on 2300 W. Van Buren St. Phoenix, Arizona 85009.
