Wasn't St. Patrick's Day without him.  He had a warm smile and a kind word for me while I was decorating at the Dubliner Pub. I am sorry to hear of your loss.  

One of my funniest memories with Dave was from several years back.  We had a backyard December Christmas catering party and needed a bartender, Dave was hired, he arrived late, and forgot a jacket. It was December, it was cold after the sun went down.  He was offered jackets, but he turned them down and said "No thank you, I look good this way",  his tip jar was overflowing.  He was shaking like a leaf though.  He was our trooper.

At times I would go to the Dub during trivia night and loved sitting at the bar when Dave worked because he would help us out with the answers, and if he didn't know the answer he would walk to the other side of the bar to find it.

I have many memories of Dave. Definitely not enough but so grateful for the ones I have. Dave is  my brother in law ( Becca is my baby sister). It’s so difficult to type a memory. My mind is just swirling with so many. ( all great ones).  So instead I just want to say “ thank you Dave “ for always seeing the beautiful soul my little sister has ( even when she made it hard to see). Thank you for showing her how strong she really is. Thank you for giving me an absolutely amazing unique nephew. And a gorgeous, never will forget her after you meet her niece  ms. Grace ❤️💚. Thank you for being the best uncle to my three babies. I literally couldn’t of hand picked a better uncle for them. Thank you for showing my kids what a true good person (soul) is. Thank you for always making me and my kids feel loved and accepted into your heart. Dave you were a very rare breed when it comes to human beings. A true good soul inside and out. You did good things for others because it was just the right thing to do.  Everything you did was honest. Never for the attention or acknowledgement. And thank you Dave for letting me and my family have the wonderful privilege of loving you and calling you family. My heart breaks that you were taken from my sister and your guys children way way to soon. You being called to heaven so soon makes me question a lot of things. But I’m gonna choose to believe that you were just to good for this earth. I know that you will always be with my sister and the kids. Maybe not heard but they will always feel your presence. I can literally keep going on about all the good you were but I have a feeling  that if they met they already know. Dave you may be gone but I guarantee you will never be forgotten. I think I only met Dave when he married my cousin Becca in Rocky Point, it was a great wedding. I then began to see him at all family gatherings Two years ago he asked I I wanted to work the door at the Dub on St Patrick Day, Isaid sounds like fun Jammasion and Jagger flowing all nite. The first Nite I worked Dave made sure I was taken care, he would check on me through out the nite.  I got word a few weeks ago that Dave was home and not doing well, I was able to talk with him on the phone, he sounded week I told him I was praying for him,Last week I called to go visit him it was too late I can say it was a true honor to know him and have him in our family Love u Primo RIP. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of being a part of this memorial service. What a blessing to have had such an incredible husband and father to your children Becca. There aren't enough people like him, but his time on this earth, no doubt created more people that strive to be. I know just listening to the words that were said today about his life, definitely makes me think of all of the things that I could do more of. That is a legacy. Becca, I can't imagine your pain, but know how lucky you were to experience his love, friendship, kindness, compassion and admiration. Your kids will continue to carry his legacy on in this lifetime, spreading his love and compassion beyond anything you could imagine. Much love to you and those sweet kids.

Dearest Sue and Bill deepest condolences for your loss. David was a great young boy. I only knew him in his young years and I really liked him.  We were neighbors in Detroit for a few years.  Becca,  my deepest condolences for your loss and for your children’s loss.  Your  life with David sounds absolutely perfect and full of love.   I am sending prayers and blessings to all of you. Dave was always smiling, laughing, and gave the best hugs. He made every moment together so much fun!
