He was born in Owensboro, KY, on September 29, 1956, and grew up in Owensboro and Chagrin Falls, OH. David graduated from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Computer Science.
David was a devoted to his wife, Michele Hughes; they recently celebrated their 41st anniversary. David most recently worked as a software engineer, a career he loved, for General Dynamics.
David had a passion for woodworking, aerospace, motorcycle riding, and Formula 1 racing. He composed music and photographed local bands. And he could fix anything.
He is survived by his daughter Anne Mickey and son-in-law Jacob Mollick, brothers De (Lynn) and Chuck (Dale) Mickey, and sisters Susan (Gary) Bornefeld and Martha Ferguson, as well as masses of nieces and nephews.
