Delia Coronado-Clements, 96, born in Jerome, Arizona. Our dear Mother and Nana departed this world for her final journey home on October 8, 2019. Her parents migrated from Cananea, Mexico to Arizona, during the Mexican Revolution. Delia spoke fondly of her younger years and family in Jerome, Superior and later in Phoenix. She attended Lowell Elem. School and Phoenix Union High School, was an wonderful cook and at one time restaurant owner of the original Coronado Café, located on West Buckeye Road in Phoenix. Loved traveling, Alaska and croqueting (won first place at the AZ State Fair). Enjoyed silent/classic movies, reminiscing to big band era music and her favorite performer Frank Sinatra. She loved and enjoyed all family members and friends, may she rest forever in our hearts. Delia is survived by: one brother Jesus Coronado, son Francisco Montenegro and daughter Diane Clements- Schwartz. Delia leaves 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are two sons, Paul Vasquez, Jr. and Samuel C. Vasquez, grand daughter Misty Montenegro, four sisters and two brothers. Services begin at 9:30 a.m. and interment will follow from the Greenwood Chapel 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, to the Greenwood Cemetery.
