

Dennis Leo Mahnke, 60, suddenly passed away on May 15, 2011. He was born in Rochester, Minnesota on November 13, 1950. He was the oldest of seven children. His family moved to Arizona in 1961. He attended and graduated from William C. Jack Elementary School, Glendale High School and Arizona State University with a degree in Construction Engineering. He married Judy Miller in 1971. He worked in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Yuma over the next three years before moving back to Phoenix. He then started working in the multifamily housing industry for the next thirty-five years. He is survived by his wife Judy Mahnke, a daughter Jamie Stokes (Bryan) and a son Jacob Mahnke (Carla), five grandchildren, Alyssa Corrigan, Quinn Stokes, Alex Mahnke, Thomas Stokes and Teddy Stokes, his father, Raymond Mahnke, three sisters: Denise Mahnke, Debra Wallace, Deanna Eisen and three brothers, Dean Mahnke, Duane Mahnke, and Douglas Mahnke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Mahnke. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix.
