

Derek Mark Rognlin, age 36, of Phoenix, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019. He was born on September 29, 1982 to Mark and Jennifer (Cin) Rognlin in Morris, Minnesota. He attended Paradise Valley High School graduating class of 2001; then furthered his education at Universal Technical Institute obtaining an Associate’s degree as an Automotive Technician. On May 22, 2009, he married Angela Wilmoth in Scottsdale, Arizona. They celebrated the birth of their daughter, Gracelynn on May 31, 2011.
Derek had a love of extreme sports such as dirt bike riding, street bike riding, snowboarding, and rock crawling.

Derek was an artist. He enjoyed creating and fabricating his own car parts and suspensions. His employers were amazed at his talents, knowledge, and willingness to take on any challenge.
His heart was his biggest asset. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Derek is survived by his loving parents, Jennifer & Mark; wife, Angela; daughter, Gracelynn; sister, Rachel Torani; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ruben; grandmother, Doris; cousin, Daren.
