Dolores (Fuerte) Pickard

She was born in Mesa, Arizona to parents Salvador and Alejandra Fuerte on December 22, 1940.

Dolores attended Grace Court Elementary and Phoenix Union High School.

She worked at Dickson Electronics and Harco Industries before working for Karsten Manufacturing for 20 years. She then retired in 2007.

Dolores is survived by the love of her life, Dale Pickard, to whom she was happily married to for 40 years. Other survivors include two daughters and three sons: Dez Noble (Doug), Dorothy Simons, Don Simons (Karen), Danny Simons (Trish), and Darryl Simons. Two brothers, Jose Fuerte (Diane) and Frank Fuerte. As well as 17 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She loved her family and wasn't shy about telling you about them. She was very proud of them.

Dolores enjoyed crossword puzzles, betting on football pools, and bragging about her winnings. But mostly she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Dolores will be missed by all who knew and loved her, but she will never be forgotten.

Her service will take place on December 17, 2022 at 11:00am at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 719 N 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85009, and burial will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery 2300 W. Van Buren St. Phoenix, AZ 85009.
