Don W. Hester, 50, Litchfield Park, AZ passed away on August 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Kim, step-son Christopher, 18, step-daughter, Kalyssa, 13, and daughters Mary, 6, and Taylor, 3; father, Robert L. Hester, sister, Diana Westerlund and brother, Robert L. Hester, Jr. His mother predeceased him in 1997.
Don was born, August 11, 1961, in Garden Grove, CA. In 1977, the family moved to the Verde Valley where he graduated from Mingus High School. He graduated from the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix with a Diesel Mechanic Certificate. After graduation, he moved back to California and worked at the Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach. He returned to Phoenix in 1995. He went to work for Coca-Cola in Tempe which began his collection of Coke memorabilia.
He met his wife, Kim, in 2004 after a motorcycle accident. They were married in January 2005. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, 5pm, August 10, 2012 at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Rd, Phoenix, AZ. Please visit www.phoenixmemorialmortuary.com.
