Donald Theile, 78, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2019, surrounded by family in his home in Phoenix, AZ. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI on November 19, 1940 to Joseph and Louise (Lyons) Theile. He was married to Barbara McKenna on July 25, 1964. Don was an accountant for Tempo, Inc. for over 30 years. He moved his family to Phoenix in 1985 when the company relocated. He was a member of Most Holy Trinity Parish and enjoyed volunteering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Don loved spending time with family and was often seen on the sidelines of his grandkids’ sporting events. He was a longtime fan of Notre Dame football and famous for his Theile tours. He will be remembered for his positive attitude and infectious smile. He was often heard saying, “keep smiling” and “stay out of trouble”. Don joins his loving wife Barb and his parents in heaven. He leaves his children John (Christina), Joe (Heidi), Amy (Jim) Sigl, Mike (Michele), Katie (Tommy) Reeve and 14 grandchildren. He also leaves his twin brother David (Carol), brother Bill (Bonnie), sister Sue (Dale) Devlaeminck, and sister-in-law Marilyn McKenna. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85022. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8620 N. 7th St., Phoenix, AZ 85020 with the Graveside service to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Camp Patrick – a camp for children with Spina Bifida or St. Vincent de Paul.
