64, of Tempe, AZ died on March 26, 2013 at 0550 hours at Dobson Home in Chandler, AZ. He had suffered from a gall bladder operation and infection, was on life support for a time, and suffered a stroke, but was unable to survive the trauma of these detriments. Douglas was the eldest son of Harry Archuleta, of Tempe, attended high school in Casa Grande, played football, and graduated from McClintock High School in 1970. He was curious and inquisitive about a number of subjects, but was captured by the intrigue of computers, programming, and model airplanes. While working at the local Jack in the Box, he studied and became a highly knowledgeable authority in data processing, and computers, and he became secretary of the Data Processing Club. He was called by Motorola to join their new computer development section. He stayed with Motorola for a number of years until he joined Arizona State’s new Lottery Office as a programmer. He became an accomplished diagnostician and was very successful trouble shooting data processing problems. After thirty years of this kind of experience, he then became a free agent, on call, to anyone who had data processing problems. He never married, but is survived by his father; two brothers and three sisters. A Memorial Gathering will be held at Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85282 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00am. Please visit www.carrtenneymortuary.com to leave Douglas’ family online condolence messages.
