E. Louise Wilber

Louise was born March 12, 1933 in Ft. Scott, KS. She graduated from Springdale High School in Springdale, Arkansas in 1951.

After High School, Louise briefly lived in the Northwest (Oregon / Washington) area but soon returned to Arkansas. She then lived briefly in Missouri, New Mexico, and Arkansas again and eventually moved to Phoenix, Arizona around 1960. In the 1980’s she moved to Sacramento, California then in the 1990’s she moved back to Arizona, to the Dewey / Prescott Valley area. In 2014, a couple years after her husband Don passed, she moved to Wickenburg, Arizona. In 2023, she moved to an assisted living facility in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

For many years, Louise worked as a bookkeeper in the banking industry. However, her family was always her primary focus. As her family grew from children to grandchildren to great-grandchildren, her family was her source of pride and enjoyment. Louise’s faith was also a big part of her life. She was a member of several churches in the Phoenix, Prescott Valley, and Sacramento areas.

Louise also loved playing games with family and friends. Some of her favorites were Bunco, Dominoes, Bingo, and Skip Bo.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Donald Gene “Don” Wilber, her mother Emma Pearl (Bradbury) Buhler, her father Wilson Anthony Sheets, three brothers (Les Sheets, Jay Sheets, and Claude Sheets), four sisters (Thelma Juanita Sheets, Wilma Woods, Irene Herrero, and Juanita Smith), and one stepbrother (Ralph Sheets).

Louise is survived by brother LB Sheets (Shirley) of Clarksburg, MO; son David Valentine (Channon) of Phoenix, AZ; son Don Roberts (Marla) of Goshen, UT; daughter Debby Knott (Bill) of Falcon, CO, son Darrell Purlee of Arizona; son John Schmidt (Lynn) of Dewey-Humbolt, AZ; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Visitation & Celebration of Life will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services Maryvale Chapel, located at 6901 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85033, on September 22, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301, on September 22, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
