To cousins Pancho, Elaine, Genevieve, Yvette, grandkids and great-grandkids: Just want to say how truly sorry I am. I too, have fond memories of Encanto Park, Aunt Cuata & Nana always in the kitchen, and when Aunt Cuata & Nana gave me my first pink bike with a huge white basket with flowers-loved that bike! May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. With love..

Nana- 

Probably the first memory I have of you is riding to church in your Riviera, when I was about 5 years old, sitting next to you in the middle of the front bench seat.

I will miss your feistiness, sharp vocabulary, quick mind, and big heart. I will remember your face light up as you put your arms out for a hug when I came to visit you recently. I wlll also remember seeing that big smile on your face when I pointed out that, "No doctor or nurse tells Nana what to do." You were one tough lady. 

These and other memories that each of us have will ensure that you live on through the family. We love you.

Aunt Cuata, it was like yesterday I remember seeing you come to adoration and mass with my Nana Lydia. Your beautiful smile, your soft, whispering voice, all dressed up,(and your 5 inch pumps) lol.  You and Nana Lydia were bombshells. There is just no other way to describe it.  You had a heart filled with love, laughter, and so many kind words to say. We miss you dearly. My Baby J says to tell you that he loves you and sleep with the angels! Give my Nana Lydia and all of our other loved ones that we have lost, lots of love and hugs!

To Elida Ohton's Familia,my condolences .I knew her as the elder sister to her younger brothers Bobby and Danny ,whom i grew up with. Ponchito jr and Eddie jr.and the rest of the family may God Bless you all.

Words cant possibly tell of my hearts  sorrow for this loss. I will always cherish the time i got to spend with Elida & miss her so very much! Elida was unique & strong, her smile, laughter & conversations are irreplaceable. As her family, you all are amazing & one of the most caring, loving, devoted & dedicated families i have ever met.  This picture of her is fantastic!! Beautiful Elida, i miss you.

What words can express the love felt for her........at times she was my mother figure.  Such a special woman, whose love and devotion to her family was always the top priority above all else. I love you Aunt Cuata, may God Bless and Keep You!!!!!!!!!

The rational mind & faithful heart says there is no loss when those we love leave this life; welcomed into eternity by those who passed over before them. It doesn't seem to matter that years have passed since we shared time together, sweet memories of my Aunt Cuata's smile, mouth wide open while she spread her contageous laugh (I still hear it). Sadly though her laugh has been silenced yet the lesson on family, blood is forever - we have loved deeply, felt one another's pain and joy and will miss her beyond words. God bless the entire Ohton & Canez family and those entended who mourn. Peace be with all and may God send angels on consolation to each heart in need.

Nana, I love you. I remember sitting on your bed watching you while you got ready, with your pink rollers. I still can smell the "Caress" soap. You're beautiful, I feel lucky to have had you for my Nana.  Sette

Thank-you for always being there for us. I know that you are holding Adrian close to you now and you can tell him all about his crazy family. We will always have you close to our hearts.

To my cousins, Yvette, Genevieve, Elaine, Pancho, the grandkids and great-grandkids, my love, thoughts and prayers are with you all.  You all were everything to your Mom and she will still be watching over you.  Wallace (Auntie) and Ladmo (Lydia/my Mom) are together again!  Be comforted she is not alone and was welcomed by her family in heaven.  Aunt Cuata I will miss you.  I will never forget that dynamite comes in little packages. My deepest condolences to my cousins Frank, Elaine, Gen, Yvette, Tio Frank and Tia Cuata's entire legacy.  I will always remember her feistiness, her supreme cooking and her love of family. I went to Herrera Elem Schl with Elida and also played volleyball/softball in the same team. I am extending my condolences for the entire family. I still remember the way she carried herself and she had the greatest smile!
