Oh, Kit, I had been thinking of Beth during December, thinking I should write to her!  We have been out-of-touch for the past 2 1/2 years (after my Leukemia
began "progressing" and I found myself traveling to Houston for treatment at MD Anderson...  I'm so sorry that I didn't follow my intuition and contact her before she left us!!  She was an inspiring teacher who became mentor and friend, encouraging me to go to a four-year college and sending notes of encouragement while I was there.  She was a strong influence in my life and I appreciate having known her.  We (Don and I) visited her once at her home in Arizona and I remember that she showed me the fruit (grapefruit?) on the trees and sent me home with some.  I still find myself (at 83) taking notes in the shorthand that she taught me.  A high school friend (Ramona Prewitt Sherman) wrote me of her death.  I'm sure this leaves you overwhelmed with missing her after sharing a life-time of memories together!  I hope those blessed memories will comfort you as you struggle to go on without her.

I remember her as one of my business teachers at South Mountain High School. She was such a nice and patient teacher.
