Elvera E. Severson (Ellie) was born on April 8, 1944 to Ethel and Wilbert Boy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on September 12, 2015. She grew up in Hartford, South Dakota on the family farm. She married the love of her life, Robert Severson. they have two boys, Chad and Brent and were blessed with three grandchildren, Alexis, Hayden and Erica.
She has a sister Elsie Dieken and a brother Gene Boy.
Ellie worked at United Cable as a Customer Service Rep, then went to work for American Express fraud department as a customer service rep for 25 years.
Ellie always thought of others first. She was loving and caring and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She loved her hats and loved throwing a party. She loved to spend time traveling to Mexico and entertaining guests. She sang in the choir and played bridge.
Services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Valley (HOV.org)
