

November 22, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 42.
Eric was a beloved husband, daddy, son, brother, and uncle whose life was marked by dedication to his family and service to his country.
Eric proudly served in the United States Air Force for over six years, where he developed a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. Following his military service, he pursued a career as an HVAC technician, a field in which he excelled and was highly respected by his peers. His commitment to his work was matched by his dedication to furthering his education, earning an Associate's Degree that underscored his belief in lifelong learning.
Eric was a devoted family man, survived by his loving wife, Sarah Schrantz, and their two cherished sons, Ryan and Travis Schrantz. He was the beloved son of Edward Schrantz (Carol) and Jean Schrantz, and a caring brother to his sister, Jamie Schrantz (Rob), and half-brother, Joey Schrantz. He also shared a close bond with his in-laws Duke & Kathy Gagliardi, brother-in-law, Andy Gagliardi (Amber) and beloved nephews (Vincent, Alex, RJ, and Blake) and niece (Emma).
Beyond his family and professional commitments, Eric was passionate about sports and adventures. He found joy in exploring the great outdoors and cherished the moments spent with his family on various adventures. His enthusiasm for life and his ability to find joy in the simple pleasures will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Eric's legacy is one of love, service, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.

A committal service for Eric will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
