

Evelyn Kidwell, 94, of Phoenix passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Evelyn was born February 19, 1918, in Choctaw, OK, to Roy and Lora Sadler. She will be remembered by family and friends for her strong, caring, compassionate and gracious spirit. Evelyn grew up in Phoenix, and graduated from Phoenix Union H.S and Phoenix Community College. She married Richard B. Kidwell, November 21, 1939. Together they had four children and raised them in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, TX and Phoenix, AZ. Their children were encouraged to set goals and spread their wings. To contribute to family income she worked as a professional seamstress, a licensed beautician and later managed Camelback and Alhambra High School bookstores. She was active in the Methodist Church and in PEO. Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Richard, brother Robert Sadler, sister, Dorothy Crozier and son Dick Kidwell. She leaves behind her daughter Dottie (Richard) Moss, daughter Carol Fitzgibbons, son Jim (Beth) Kidwell, as well as her daughter-in-law Shirley Kidwell, six grandchildren, and four great--grandchildren. Evelyn's brother Harold (Mary) Sadler, brother-in-law Bill (Elaine) Kidwell, plus numerous nieces, nephews and their families will also cherish her memory. Interment will be in the Memory Garden of Paradise Valley Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a favorite charity in Evelyn's memory.
