

Fay Agnes (Nichols) Bond, 100. Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on her birthday, October 10, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born to Albert Arthur and Mabel May (Milhouse) Nichols in Cheyenne, Oklahoma on the 10th of October, 1911. The family moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 1918 where she was raised on the family farm and graduated from Gilbert High School in 1929. She married Thomas Lloyd Bond in 1930 and moved to Phoenix where they raised their four children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years and son, Jerry. Mother is survived by daughter Joanne Peterson (Clair) and sons Delwin (Sheila) and Norman (Sally); thirteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions. Mother will be sorely missed by her family, but we know she has gone home to loved ones and family on the other side. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 14 at 10:00 AM at the Osborn Ward Building at 3120 North 18th Avenue in Phoenix with the visitation held one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery very close to the mortuary building at 719 N. 27th Avenue in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St, Phoenix, AZ 850147.
