Many knew him as Felix but to all his many nieces and nephews he was Uncle Joe.
He came to the United States after serving in the Italian Navy. He met the love of his life and never looked back. He made a beautiful and wonderful life for his family.
Felix was in the barber profession for 60 years. He started in New York City and by the mid 1970's he moved to New Mexico and opened his own successful salon Caesars Palace. In 1993 he came to Arizona and continued to cut hair until retirement.
He was a man of great faith and honor. Very involved and dedicated to his church life. He was a 64 year lifetime 3rd degree Deputy Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. 20+ years in the Holy Name Society and venerable of the Order of the Son's of Italy for 2 terms and a member of the Italian/American club. There was so much more it's hard to list.
Felix loved nature but was all about his family and spending quality time together. It meant everything to him. He never asked for anything but love and respect.
He knew so many people and was so very loved by everyone who knew him. So much that this day will have made an impact around the world.
He was a feisty little man but large in life with a heart of gold. Many would say that he would take the shirt off his back to help make a difference in someone's life. I believe we would all agree.
Although this is a sad day for us left behind. We are happy for Felice because we know that today he is free of his infermaties and is (as he would say) in "paradise" with the good Lord and his beloved wife. God Bless him always. We love you dad!
Que sera- sera what will be, will be.
Arrivederci Roma!
