Grandma,
I am so thankful to have met you when I did. We hit it off right away eating ice cream late at night together. You were funny and accepted my boys and I as your family instantly. I am so glad that Mark was able to meet you and that you called him before bootcamp and I was able to record it so that we can still hear your voice.
 I wish that I could have met Grandpa also, but I'm glad that you are finally with him in God's kingdom. You have left such a  legacy of a great family that loves God and each other. I will miss being able to stop by your place on the way to Utah. I will see you again  and am thankful for that. I never thought that I would have a 
family like yours and it is in many ways because of you that I do.

Grandma went to be with Jesus, grandpa and Timmy just shy of 2 years since grandpa went to heaven. Grandma wanted to go so badly since grandpa left. She missed him terribly. We are so glad grandma is no longer in pain and is in heaven with Jesus, grandpa and Timmy, but those of us left behind will miss her greatly.  

She left such a legacy for herself. She was a true example of a Christian in word and deed. She was quick to witness to everyone she met. I believe grandma and grandpas godly influence greatly affected their children and grandchildren in their coming to know Christ as their own Savior. 

She loved her family so much and tried as often as possible to get the family together for family activities and holidays. She was strong willed, compassionate, loving, caring, hospitable and so many other attributes. 

I love you so much grandma and will miss you all of my days here on earth. I'm glad to know this is only a temporary goodbye and I will see you again in heaven one day. Until then, I will hold all the great memories close to my heart. 

This week, my Grandma Connor went Home to be with Jesus. Though the family and friends she left behind are sad to be without her, we rejoice that she is finally free from pain, with the Savior she loved so much, and reunited with her sweetheart, my Granddad Connor.

We always loved visiting our grandparents, especially for the holidays. She loved to make a big spread, and enjoyed adding some of our favorite things to make us happy ("pink stuff" and Grandma's potato salad were at the top of our lists). The gift I will always remember getting from her was when she gave me a Cabbage Patch Doll for Christmas...I was 30 years old at the time! She wanted to replace the one I had lost as a little girl.

My Grandma left a tremendous legacy. She loved her family very much, and wasn't shy about demonstrating that through acts of service, kindness and compassion, sweet hugs, as well as tough love when necessary. She was so generous, hospitable, strong, and wise. She and my Granddad were one of the examples we had of love and commitment to each other and their marriage, as they were married for 65 years before my Granddad passed almost 2 years ago. The most important legacy she left, though, was her faith. She, and my Granddad, were very proactive about sharing and living out their faith. Because of that, their 4 daughters, and many of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren have come to have their own relationship with the Lord.

We are so thankful for salvation and the hope of Heaven that we have because of our shared faith in Christ. It is because of this that we have peace in the midst of our sorrow, knowing that we will see her again.

Until then, Grandma...I'll miss your hugs and prayers and hearing your voice. I love you and am thankful for everything you have done and meant to me and our whole family!

My precious mother has gone home to be with her Saviour. I have had the privilege of being with her and helping to care for her a little more than a week. I, along with some of our family, was able to sing hymns to her, pray with her, and tell her how much we love her until she got a huge smile on her face and took her last breath on Friday morning. She is in heaven now, not because she was a good person, (she never would have said she was), but because she repented of her sins and trusted in the shed blood of Christ alone for salvation. 

I thank God for the precious mother He has given me. She was a tremendous example of unconditional love, generosity, compassion, hospitality, and humility.  There were many times when my parents opened their homes to strangers and missionaries. We used four cars to pick up people for church on Friday nights and had youth group meetings in our home and Mom provided the refreshments.

She and Daddy have a legacy of children and grandchildren who also have trusted in the blood of Jesus Christ alone for salvation. We understand that all of our righteousnesses are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). 

She has been in pain for many years, missed daddy greatly, since his death on October 18, 2028 (they had been married for 65 years), and longed to be with her Saviour. I will miss her greatly, but I know that I will she her again, because she taught me about true salvation and I too have trusted in Jesus Christ as my Saviour.

Florence Connor was my mother-in-law for 29+ years and although at first she wasn't that approving of me, she learned to love and trust me as her daughter Lori's husband and the father of her grandchildren, Connor and Corrie. Her 65 year marriage to my father-in-law Byron, was a wonderful testimony to the great institution of marriage. We are going to miss her quirky sense of humor, her strong will and all the love she bestowed on us. However, we are happy that she is with her Savior Jesus and her husband Byron again, and no longer in pain. Love and miss you Mom.

Momma was a wonderful, strong and brilliant woman who loved deeply. She firmly believed in sharing all the things the Lord blessed her with. We miss her greatly but find comfort in the knowledge that she is with her Lord and Savior and reunited with our father, the love of her life and husband of 65 years. The Lord was merciful in ending her pain and suffering on earth. Love and angels all around you always dearest Momma.
