Gabriel Jimmy Montoya passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on June 28, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Jimmy was born and raised in Phoenix. He was the youngest of 9 kids. His parents were Santiago and Alicia (Prado) Montoya.
Jimmy attended and graduated from East High. One day, while playing volleyball with friends at Encanto, he met his future wife Jennie. It was love at first sight. They have two sons, Daniel and Frankie, and one daughter, Christina.
Jimmy worked for Nina Construction Supply for 33 years, performing various duties through the years.
During his free time, Jimmy liked to bowl. He earned the nickname “Rocketman” because he threw the ball so fast. On the weekends, you could find him bowling on Saturdays and then he would kick back and watch football on Sunday. Go Cardinals!
He will be remembered for his generosity and his sense of humor. His family will remember a great man who as a caring and compassionate role model to his kids, as well as sweet and caring companion to Jennie during their 40 years of marriage.
