

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gean M. Nelson, an incredible man known for his vast knowledge, unwavering understanding, and dedication to his community. Gean was truly one of a kind—a person who not only knew the world around him but also made it a better place through his kindness and skill.
As the go-to handyman, Gean was always there when you needed him, whether it was fixing something around the house or lending a helping hand to a friend. His talent and passion for his work were matched only by his generosity and willingness to help others.
More than just a skilled craftsman, Gean had a remarkable ability to connect with people. He had a deep understanding of his community and kept up with the happenings of the world, always sharing his insights with those around him. He made a lasting impact on everyone he met and will be remembered for his wisdom, warmth, and the countless ways he touched our lives.
Gean Michael Nelson, age 52, and was called home on Monday, April 28, 2025.
Gean, was the son of Willis and Carol Nelson, born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived in Phoenix all his life.
Gean is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Carol Nelson, and his brother David Nelson. Survived by his brothers Robert Nelson, Samuel Nelson (Stephanie), sisters Tammy Dominguez (Jesus), and Georgia Ann Nelson and many nieces and nephews.
Gean leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and hard work. Though we will miss him dearly, his spirit will continue to inspire us.
A celebration of life for Gean will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
