George H. Mendell

George Henry Mendell in remembrance of a life of celebration, honor, service and family. George was called to return home July 13th 2024 where he will once again be United with his loving mother Clara Shubert and his father Joseph Mendell, the love of his life Michelle Mendell, his brother's Norman and Joseph and a lifetime of close friends. George was a Korean war veteran of the Marine corps entered into service in 1952 where he served 3 years. George Mendell was born in Lyons Illinois at St Anthony Padua hospital September 26th 1932. He spent 30 years as a state planner for Arizona State highway division and his weekends working for the Arizona horse racing commission. George leaves behind four daughters Linda McEwen Diana Moreno Laura Eubanks and Kim Mendenhall. George had one son by the name of Joseph Mendell who was with him the day he passed. George led an exemplary life by example and through hard work he showed his commitment to his family and friends. George exemplified tenacity and overcame each and every obstacle with sublime integrity and exceptional gratitude. George left behind a sister Caroline Kaplan a brother Frank Mendell and four daughters and only son along all with fond memories that will never be forgotten or replaced. George Mendell was a great father a good friend and a mentor. He loved life and he loved his family. His absence though painful brings joy knowing that he is once again reunited with Our Heavenly Father his parents, family and friends. Once again finding pure joy free from sickness, worries any expectations which overwhelm the living. knowing that he lived a great life and left behind a loving family who look forward to the day that we are once again reunited until then we love you Dad.
