Gloria Johnson McNally

Gloria Romalene (Johnson) McNally a longtime resident of Phoenix Arizona died peacefully on May 20, 2026 at the age of 91. Gloria was born October 25, 1934 in Wayne, Nebraska. She graduated from Wayne Prep High School in 1952 and obtained her teaching certificate from Wayne State College in 1954. Gloria was married on June 6, 1955, to Raymund Francis McNally.

She is survived by her children Valerie (McNally) Rekve, Gregory McNally (Cindy), Raymund McNally Jr., Monica (McNally) Brooks, Daniel McNally (Carol), and Cynthia (McNally) Gomez (Paul). Grandchildren Erik Rekve, Connie Brooks, Michael McNally, Matthew McNally, Jake Brooks, Ashley (McNally) Christman, Teresa (Gomez) Komljenovic, Kayla Gomez, and Diego Gomez. Great grandchildren Declan McNally, Rogue McNally, Isaac De Leon, Mateo De Leon, Brianna De Leon, Theodore Christman, and Gavin Christman. She is preceeded in death by her husband Raymund, daughter Katherine, son Paul, parents Henry and Lula Johnson, and siblings Jessie, Lois, Lula, Joyce, Raymond, and Juanita.

Gloria was a dedicated mother. She loved and adored her children and grandchildren. She was a proud military spouse traveling the United States and abroad with her husband, a Colonel and fighter pilot in the USAF. Gloria was a teacher and avid reader. She loved cooking and taking cooking classes with her husband, her daughter Katherine and her granddaughter Kayla. She was passionate and knowledgeable about homeopathy, sharing many remedies with others to improve health and wellness. She loved growing flowers, fruits, nuts, and vegetables at her home on Berridge Lane.

Gloria, our mother and grandmother, will be missed by her family. A funeral service is planned for June 5, 2026 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary. A graveside service will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. May she rest in eternal peace alongside the love of her life.
