Gordon L. Williamson, 84, passed away on July 11, 2011 at the Lookout Mountain Assisted Living Home with his long time partner, Elois Roberts at his side. Gordy was born on October 28, 1926 in Omaha, NE to parents John and Elmont Williamson. Gordy served his country in the Army during World War II. Returning to Omaha after the war, he began his career as a salesman and married his wife Ardis. In the early 1960s, the family moved to Phoenix, AZ where Gordon continued his sales career as a manager for Serv Us Bakery and a salesman for Maroney’s Cleaners. Gordy enjoyed golf, dancing, and traveling.
Gordy is survived by his loving partner Elois and her family, his children David, Debbie, and Denise, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and brother John Williamson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ardis Williamson, and sister Donna Phelps.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn at 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ. A private placement at the cemetery will follow.
