James David Barrett 83 of Phoenix entered into rest on June 14, 2018. David was born to Brodus and Mary (Tuttle) Barrett on March 5, 1935 in Rockingham, North Carolina. He was the oldest of 7 siblings.
David raised two sons Robert and Richard Barrett.
David served in the United States Air Force for 3 years. He then drove for Greyhound Bus Lines for 35 years.
He met his companion Mardelle and they loved spending time together and traveling around the country on their motorcycle for their 11 years that they spent together.
David is survived by his companion Mardelle Jones, 2 sons Robert and Richard Barrett a sister Helen Dowdy.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife, 4 brothers, and a sister.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary 710 W Bethany Home Road in Phoenix.
