On Tuesday, July 10, 2012, Jeanine Marie Jones, youngest daughter of Raymond and Louise Jones, shuffled off her mortal coils after a valiant 14-year battle with cancer and returned home to her Heavenly Father. She was 49. Jeanine was a senior accountant for the City of Peoria and good at her job. She was intensely analytical and whip-smart… the salutatorian of her senior class at West High in Phoenix. She graduated with a degree in accounting from Brigham Young University and passed her CPA exam on her first try. But she was also a devoted sister and doting aunt. A lifelong and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she was the ward organist, pianist, and accompanist for more than 35 years and could play any song with sheet music. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her older sister Kathy and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her sisters Margaret Perrine (Chuck), Elizabeth Harris (Ken) who succored her during her long bouts with cancer, and brothers David (Laura), James (Karen), and Paul (Bonnie), along with more than 25 nephews and nieces. A funeral service will take place at 11 am Saturday, July 14 at the LDS Stake Center at 7871 W Acoma Dr in Peoria. Interment will take place in Salt Lake City. “Behold, I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live; for unto him that endureth to the end will I give eternal life.” (3 Nephi 15:9)
