Jerrilyn Mae Bratt passed away on December 31, 2020. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Parkers Prairie, MN, the daughter of Glen and Myrtle Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents and a younger brother, Warren, who was killed in Vietnam. On June 20, 1964 she married Robert Bratt.
Three important things in Jerri’s life were family, youth, and music. She was mother to two children, Chris and Amy, and a foster daughter, Micah. In addition, there were several children who resided with us for short periods of time. She ran a youth ministry program at St. Andrew Lutheran church including a trip to a Lutheran Youth Convocation at Purdue University. She took youth on a train from Flagstaff to the convocation in Lafayette, Indiana. She also ran an after school program at Trinity Lutheran church in the early 2000s. While not a specifically religious program, at the same time, every child learned to say a prayer before having their after school snack.
Jerri learned to play the piano early in life. There was a piano in the first family home and she got started and then she took piano lessons for several years. She played for some occasions such as weddings and also with a folk group that she led for several years.
A memorial service will be held later this year after COVID subsides. Memorial gifts may be sent to
