

Jeremy Lewis Morrison of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2018 at the age of 60. He heroically battled Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, for the last 2 years. Born in Jacksonville, FL, Jerry moved to Arizona 49 years ago with his family. He retired after 16 years as a US Rural Postal Carrier in 2016. Jerry was an AVDRA (American Vintage Dirt Racers Association) member and champion. He loved motorcycle mechanics and restoration. Jerry was a highly respected resource to the vintage racing community, noted for his extensive knowledge and experience restoring the famous Honda Elsinore motocross bike. Beyond mechanics, Jerry showed a keen interest and acumen for horticulture, botany, WWII history, and later in life found comfort in developing a strong bond with his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Kathy O’Toole of Phoenix, mother Cynthia Morrison of Scottsdale, sister Julia Brown (Shelby) of Scottsdale, and brother Jeffrey Morrison (Heidi) of Chicago. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary at 200 W. Beardsley Road on Wednesday, August 1st at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Jerry’s memory to Hospice of the Valley (www.hov.org).
