Joan Irene De La Lama

Joanie was married to her high school sweetheart, Leo DeLaLama, for over 48 years, when Leo preceded her in death. She loved working with Leo at Turf Paradise for many years, where lifelong friendships were formed. As a devoted wife, mother, and sister, family was always important to Joan.

She is survived by her son, Mark DeLaLama and his wife, Elaine, and her daughter, Caryn DeLaLama. Her daughter, Pamela DeLaLama preceded her in death November 15, 2013. Joanie is also survived by her grandchildren, Alicia Buscaglia, Mark DeLaLama and his wife Melissa, Alexis DeLaLama, Macy DeLaLama, Alec DeLaLama, Tyler Head, Molly Head, and her great grandchildren Tyler Hutman, Jake Trujillo, and Marina DeLaLama. Her granddaughter, Carmen Hamphton preceded her in death, October 13, 2007. Her surviving siblings are David McGady, Terry McGady, Patty McGady, John McGady and she was preceded in death by Joseph McGady.

We will be holding a service to celebrate the lives of both Joan and her daughter, Pamela DeLaLama at the Funeraria del Angel Greer Wilson Chapel 5921 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ on Friday, January 17, 2013 at 7:30 pm.
