John would always give you the shirt off his back. He will be remembered and missed. He always had wanted to go to a game at Fenway Park. I am so glad I was able to do that with him.

Larger than life was our John, but so very humble. Losing him -- even when we knew the end was near -- hurt us so badly.  The outpouring of our love for and our memories of John give us each a reason to carry forward, with John's indomitable spirit in our hearts.  Friend, raconteur, mentor, a guy who kicked your butt when you needed it. John, you truly exemplified the term: "One of a kind." Rest comfortably my friend, you gave it all for your family, for your friends...you gave it all.

I can't remember the actual day we met, or how...you've just seemed to always be a part of my life...I miss you so much...you were larger than life...I selfishly assumed you would always be with us...my world made more sense knowing you were in it...I love you...

Been trying to come up with the "right " words. Very simply, I miss you, John. Having known each other for 30 years, been good friends for half that. You were always there for me when I needed it. Always made me smile, which is a feat unto itself. I am sure will meet again. Love you, brother.

Johnboy, from the moment I met you at the coffee shop here in Flagstaff an saw that big smile, I knew we would be close.  The time we spent together was very special, seemed we could talk an talk an talk. Our last visit at Mayo will remain in my heart forever. Although we talked on the phone, I am sorry we never managed to hook up again. You WERE my friend and a good guy. We were Boy Scouts together and had great times. Our fathers were good friends as well. We also shared a bond in the love of cars. I know you were loved by many and if a man has that in life, he has succeeded. Rest in Peace John...

John, big shoes to follow my friend! Our first meeting in Arizona at Klein's had to have been in 1977 or 78 I think. Who would have thought we'd continue to be in the Racing Industry this long!  With Zhou at Center Line for Ray me at Weld, Goudy's Streaker and Richie Clements Broad Wheels we truly had the business! You have done so much for SEMA and the Education of others just coming into our Industry I hope your Family knows how IMPORTANT YOU WERE TO US!  Thank you for sharing Big John!

It's amazing how some people pass through your life and others come into your life and have a significant impact. John was the latter, touching nearly everyone that he met. He was warm, friendly, intelligent, caring and honestly interested - an uncommon combination of traits that made up a wonderful person.

Thank you for touching my life, and all the lives around you. You were more than just my father...You were my friend! I know that you will live on inside of me,through the memories of the moments we shared. 

I will remember that I cannot change what happened yesterday and I do not know what tomorrow will bring. But will look at the today as a Gift... That's why it is called the "Present" cherishing it in your memory.
