was born on October 23,1938 in Paris Texas to Maggie Handcock and Thomas Preston. He passed away on January 16,2014 at Banner Estrella Hospital in his sleep peacefully. He graduated from High school in Texas. His occupation was a truck driver, school bus drivers and small business owner. Johnie lived a long beautiful life leaving behind a strong loving and caring family. His wife, Shirley Preston, his four children, Gary, Kenneth, Linda and Sharon. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Preston Norris (Paris, TX) and Florene Preston Alexander (Wichita Falls, TX) many nieces and nephews. He was the type of man that would make you smile when you were down. He loved everyone and wanted them to be happy. He spoke his mind quit often so people knew how he felt. He loved to travel and have his family around. He loved his grand kids and always wanted them around. Visitation services will be on Tuesday, January21st at Funeraria del Angel Greer Wilson on 5921 W. Thomas RD. from 5-8pm. Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Greer-Wilson Chapel, Phoenix, Arizona.
