Joseph grew up in Phoenix Arizona. He graduated from Sunnyslope High School in 1964. Joseph joined the United States Navy in 1965 and was honorably discharged in 1971 earning a National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He met and married Shirley Carpenter in 1968 in Phoenix Arizona and together they had 3 daughters.
Joseph had a love for the arts and was a talented painter. He had a great interest in architecture and studying other cultures. His greatest love was for his daughters and grandchildren.
He leaves behind his 3 daughters; Cherel Lynn Pearson, Jamie Summers Davis and Stephanie Jean Valdivia; 4 granddaughters; Heather Pearson, Amber Pearson, Sarah Davis and Ellie Filipowicz;
2 grandsons; Kaleb Blaine & Leonardo Valdivia; 2 great granddaughters; Serenity Blaine & Alaina Blaine
He was greeted in Heaven by his Brother Huston Ray Frantz and his Mother, Emma Jean Frantz and Father James Frantz.
