

Joyce Carol Gary passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2017, just two days before her 52nd birthday. Joyce was born on October 29, 1965 in Abilene, Texas to her parents Tommy Gary and Linda Shann. Joyce grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where she raised her five children whom she absolutely adored.
Joyce is survived by many who loved her, especially her children Branden, Nicholas, Michael, Nicole, and Jason, all of whom reside in Phoenix, Arizona. Joyce also has six grandchildren who were the apple of her eye. Joyce is survived by her “daddy” Tommy Gary (Sharon) of Harrah, Oklahoma. She has two sisters and a brother who will all miss her greatly: Melissa Crawford of Phoenix, Arizona, Jenae Pohl of Erie, Pennsylvania and Jason Gary of Erie, Pennsylvania. Joyce is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her two best friends, Kathy and Pam, both whom she has known her whole life and loved like sisters.
Joyce is preceded in death by her mother Linda Shann, maternal grandparents Rita and William Shann, and paternal grandparents, Mary and Lloyd Gary.
Joyce’s greatest accomplishment in life was raising her children. She loved her family above all else, was kindhearted to a fault, and always willing to help anyone in need, to the best of her ability. This earth has truly lost a kind soul.
Cremation arrangements are being provided by Advantage Colonial Mortuary in Phoenix, Arizona. Per the family request, no funeral services will be observed at this time. A Celebration of Joyce’s life will be announced in the future. Memorial donations in Joyce’s name can be made to the charity of choice.
