

Juanita was born August 22nd, 1941, in Vaiden, MS to James (Jack) Lockhart and Everlena Cunningham. It was there in Carroll County that Juanita spent most of her youth until she graduated high school.
Afterward, she would travel to Freeport, Illinois on a family visit where she would meet Harold Johnson (who later became Mujahid Abdul-Aziz). They married on June 29th, 1963, and settled in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota soon after where they raised their three children.
Juanita began a successful career at Northwest Airlines in 1976, where she would work until retiring in December 1999. She was a treasured member of Pilgrim Baptist Church before the family horse business briefly relocated to Reno, Nevada before settling in Arizona in June of 2003.
Juanita loved to travel, solve puzzles, shop, attend plays, bake, and spend time with her family. She was an avid bowler and played in several bowling leagues throughout her life. She especially loved seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by both parents, two sisters, and her husband, Mujahid. She leaves to honor her legacy her daughter, Kimberly Johnson, and two sons, Bilal Abdul-Aziz and Marlon Johnson, who all reside in Phoenix, AZ. Six grandchildren: Kali, Ahmed, Tariq, Assid, Mu’az & Jibrail, and eight great-grandchildren. Sisters: Wardeen Jones of Lynwood, IL; Joanne (Freddie) Burns, Sharon Lockhart of Milwaukee, WI, and a brother Ronnie (Clarissa) Lockhart of Vaiden, MS, and among other relatives and friends.
