Kenneth Henry Cesiel, a resident of Tempe, Arizona, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the age of 83. Known for his humorous, wise, and hard-working nature, Ken was an inspirational man, whose kind-hearted and generous spirit touched many lives.
Ken’s early years and education were shaped by his time at the La Salette Seminary in Jefferson City, Missouri. He later became a proud Sun Devil, earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Arizona State University—where he also served as President of the Newman Club (Go Devils!).
Ken’s professional journey was defined by excellence and dedication. He proudly served in the United States Air Force before beginning a long and impactful tenure as a professor at Arizona State University. He also built a distinguished career at Honeywell, where he devoted more than 40 years. During this time, Ken also served as President of Toastmasters, earning numerous awards and recognition for his outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ken was a man of many passions. He earned his pilot’s license and had an extraordinary gift for speechwriting—whether honoring life’s milestones or delivering a witty roast to a dear friend. His words, much like his life, were full of warmth, humor, and inspiration.
Ken shared nearly 36 years of marriage with his wife, Toni. He is lovingly remembered by Toni; his sister, Dianne; his son, Joseph Kenneth Cesiel, and his wife, Ceejay; and his daughter, Megan Cesiel Julien, and her husband, Daniel. Ken was a proud grandfather to his cherished granddaughters—Steeley, Harlowe, and Scotlyn—and held a special place in his heart for his “granddogs,” Heber and Zona.
Kenneth Henry Cesiel will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his career, and his community, leaving behind a legacy of humor, kindness, and wisdom.
As Ken would say: “Stay on top, in tune, in touch, and going for it.”
